Well it’s Black Friday today and the holiday season is now fully in swing! Now to keep you fueled up for all that shopping, running around and hustle and bustle I wanted to create a festive but healthy snack! Inspired by nuts.com and their healthy snack ideas, I created my own healthy holiday snack – Festive Apple & Nut Butter slices.
In my family we love dipping our apple slices in natural nut butters like peanut butter and almond butter. Now to jazz these up for the holiday season I rolled them in dried cranberries and natural unshelled pumpkin seeds, and voila a fun, healthy and festive holiday snack!
- Fresh apple slices
- Natural nut butter of your choice
- Dried cranberries
- Pumpkin seeds
- Slice apples.
- Place a handful of dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds on a plate.
- Dip half of the apple into nut butter, then roll in dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds.
- Place in fridge to firm up if nut butter is runny.
